Choosing a disco for your party is not always as easy as it sounds. We think there are a few key questions you should be asking.... Q: Am I going to talk to the company I want to book when I call them? A: Why wouldn't you? Well, there are many agencies who have a list of disco's they might supply, how will you know what you are getting? When you call us, you will be talking to the owner - it's our company and we will only supply our own DJ's. That means we can tell you all about what we do ourselves! Q: Will I have to pay a deposit or booking fee? A: A booking fee is your way of showing a commitment to a booking and a disco's way of acting professionally. We always ask for a booking fee so we know you are genuine, but so that we can guarantee your booking. If you don't pay a deposit, what's to stop you disco taking a better paying booking and not coming to you? Q: Will we get a contract after we have booked? A: Never book a disco that says no. A contract is your proof that you have a booking. We always send out booking forms, terms and conditions and confirm in writing when all of our paperwork has been received. You wouldn't book other services without a contract, so why would you be expected to book a disco without one? Q: How do I know that the disco I am booking will be the one I have booked? A: Well you would expect that wouldn't you? But if you have booked through an agent, you will have no idea who will turn up. Some disco's pass work to there friends, so you liked there web site but don't get them! When you book us, that is exactly what you get. In fact, when your DJ turns up on the night, it will be the guy you spoke to on the phone when you called to ask for more details! There is only me and you will only get what you booked! Q: Is the equipment used professional and suitable for the job? A: It is really easy to buy disco gear these days. Many people have decided it's a great way to earn money. Unfortunately the cheaper gear is usually cheap for a reason. So make sure that you are actually going to be able to here Diana Ross sing and that she won't sound more like a Smurf on 20 a day. We only use professional, industrial equipment that is designed to handle being thrown into vans, village halls and hotels every week. Q: What will you be wearing on the night? A: Silly question? Maybe it isn't when you realize that your wedding DJ is going to wearing dirty ripped jeans and a t-shirt with rude words on it all night. We always pride ourselves on presentation. Where appropriate we always offer a black tie DJ and where it's not required, shirt and tie or smart casual is the very very least! Q: Will you play songs that I like and will you get my guests dancing? A: Nobody can guarantee that all your guests will get up and dance, but hiring a disco that play heavy metal all night when your party is full of mature adults may not be a good help! With us it's even easier. It's your party, so why shouldn't you get to help choose some of the music. Have a look at our “choose the music” page and see what we mean. We are experienced professionals and generally we know how to get guests to dance, but your help is always appreciated
