I went to a disco and all the DJ played rubbish all
night
It's a sad fact that there are a lot of DJ's who believe they know what you want better than you do. We get a lot of calls asking what we play. The answer is always the same.... "Whatever you would like us to play" It's your party, so why wouldn't you expect to be able to choose what music is played. Not only do we ask you what you like, we actively encourage you to write down some of the ones you like. If you need a little inspiration, then why not have a look at our on line music database, just click the link below for more details

I'm holding my party at a very lovely venue and I don't want it ruined with a big disco
I
t's something we get asked a lot now. Just imagine you've booked your wedding in a beautiful hotel, or you're holding your birthday party in a marquee in your garden. We believe the last thing you want is a huge ugly disco turning up and spoiling the venue. That's why we ALWAYS use equipment that is apropriate to the venue and the event. Please have a look at the pictures below to give you an example
Of course, there are times when you may want everything to be big loud and exciting. We have DJ's at school proms' big Christmas Parties and one of our DJ's has even looked after Eric Clapton's New Years Even Party for the last two years. If it's big and exciting you want, we are happy to oblige. Please see some examples:
Isn't music all digital and MP3's these days. Is there anything I need to know?
We're not going to tell you fibs. The days of having to own a long wheel based transit van just to transport the records or CD's has gone. We now bring all of our music on a tiny hard drive and play it from an equally small and light laptop. Not only does this mean we don't kill ourselves when we carry it all in, it also mean we can carry a bigger collection of music and it is much much easier for us to find specific songs when asked with only a minutes notice! BUT.... new technology bring new rules! We wanted to tell you in plain english! If you've been researching you disco for a while, you may have come across the ProDub logo, or information about the ProDub. Unfortunately a lot of companies are worrying people and trying to tell you that every disco must have one.... WRONG! It's actually very simple:
1. Has the DJ converted his CD's to MP3's?
2. Does the DJ download his music legally and play the music from the
YES - ProDub not required OK, so there's a little more to it and if your really want to be bored, please do ask, but if you follow the above two rules, you should be fine! HOWEVER, it is important to make sure that your DJ is using legally downloaded music - using music for your party which has not been paid for is illegal! |
